This impressive property is set just above the church in village of Aptera and commands extensive views across the surrounding countryside to the White Mountains beyond. the original building has been renovated and extended in traditional Cretan style and is tastefully furnished. Anna-Malai has been restored in co-operation with Pure Crete to provide two separate dwellings of unique charm which may be rented together or individually. 

Anna Malai House D Category, sleeps 4/5 Anna Malai House is a handsome and spacious traditional Cretan family home. It has a choice of private sitting out places for admiring the spectacular mountain view, for private sunbathing, or eating out "al fresco" with ample shade. Internally the house has a number of separate rooms and large internal space divided by Cretan archways into the dining area, the living room and the fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a large Cretan fireplace which adds to its cosy charm during Spring and Autumn evenings. The House has beamed ceilings, stone floors and thick stone walls to ensure it is cool throughout the long summer months and warm at other times of year. Anna Malai has ample sitting out space with palm trees around the large swimming pool, shared with the penthouse upstairs. The pool measures 1.15m - 1.50m in depth, no child pool The double bedroom is divided with a Cretan archway between the double bed and dressing area. The second bedroom at the opposite end of the house has twin beds and wooden pillars. A second separate living room with semi-circular feature window and second fireplace also has a sofabed which provides extra sleeping capacity for families. There is a large family bathroom with shower. Anna Malai House is within walking distance (1/2 mile) of a choice of village tavernas and local store and a short drive (4miles) to a choice of sandy beaches. Clients are reminded that they should take all proper precautions in the pool area at all times.
