Kapsodassos

Kapsodassos &  Frangokastello, South Coast.

75km from Chania, the sleepy village of Kapsodassos nestles in the foothills of a dramatic mountain range on the south west coast and commands sweeping views across the countryside to the Libyan sea.  The village has a bakery, a café/taverna and a small grocery shop.  Nearby Frangokastello (ten minutes drive) has a large sandy beach by the Fort plus several tavernas and two mini markets.  Kapsodassos is an ideal base for exploring the sandy coves and villages along the south west coast. Boats from the nearby village of Safkia run daily to Loutro, Agia Roumeli (Samaria Gorge exit) and Sougia.
