This romantic hideaway is set in the small mountain hamlet of Malaxa. Agapi is a good sized house with a fully equipped kitchen and traditional Cretan archways dividing the living areas.

For early and late season the house has a large open fireplace for burning logs. From the first floor veranda the house commands views of the White Mountains.

Ground floor: Large living/dining room leading to living room with open fireplace and the fully equipped kitchen. Off the downstairs is a courtyard garden with built in BBQ which is accessed by the living/dining room and kitchen. Also off the living/dining area is a WC & Shower room.

First floor: Double bedroom leading to en suite WC. There is an additional steep wooden staircase to small gallery with single bed if needed but not recommended. French doors lead open onto large veranda with mountain views.

Malaxa has two cafenions, one of which stocks very basic food items, and is where the old local men sit outside and the other which has a small seating area outside where you can get an omlette and salad and has a drinks fridge where you can purchase cold drinks and ice cream.  There is one taverna in the village called the Panorama and two further tavernas 1km west of the village which also have spectacular views over the length of Souda Bay and to the Akrotiri Peninsula. (Please check opening times of the tavernas with our local team as they can be sporadic). Occasionally at varying days of the week there are local produce sellers.
