• Cars picked up or returned outside office hours £20 (21.00 - 08.00hrs)
• Car picked up at Chania and dropped off at Heraklion £25 and vice versa. 
• Car hire in Crete requires deposits of £65 per car per week.
• Taxi costs from Chania Airport are: £35 to Aptera (Megala Chorafia) or Kalami. £40 to Stilos/Provarma/Malaxa/Armeni/Tsivaras. £44 to Agios Pantes and Douliana. £50 to Tzizifes, Maza and Embrosnero. £145 from Heraklion to all villages mentioned above. These prices are one way. 
• Comprehensive insurance excludes damage to tyres and beneath the car and has an excess liability of 280 euros.
• The 280 euro excess can be waived by paying an additional 20 euros per week. Supplementary insurance for the tyres and vehicle underside is also available for an additional 20 euros per week. If both are required the payment will be at a special combined rate of 30 euros per week. These payments must be made to the car hire representative at the point of collection.

Driving License: A full UK or EU member country driving license is sufficient. Drivers of other nationalities who do not hold a UK or EU license will require an International Drivers License.

Please note that Cretan car insurance requires drivers to be over 23 years old and have had a full driving license for at least 12 months. 

All holiday payments are fully protected by Pure Crete ATOL licence 2757 (for your flight), our Total Payment Protection Policy (for your accommodation) and UK package regulations 1992 (for your consumer rights).
