Set between the Turkish fortress of Izeddin and the coastal road towards Kalives and Rethymnon is Kalami.

Here stands Costa's - within walking distance of the Taverna, Cafeneon and  a secluded sandy beach (below) with a small jetty offering opportunities for fishing.

Restored in traditional style by its owner, a curator of Chania Museum, Costas' House has arched doorways, beamed ceilings and stone floors. Outside there is a pretty courtyard and garden.

Enter the garden and ground floor by steps down from the road level. Ground Floor: Spacious, comfortable living room with a well-equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, etc; bathroom with bath; patio and garden outside.

First Floor: An open staircase from the ground floor leads into the first twin bedroom (which has a door to the outside) which leads through to the second twin bedroom with air conditioning double glazing and balcony. Please note that the first floor is on the road level and a stones throw from the main highway to Chania.

The house is conveniently located for eating, swimming and public transport. The village cafeneon is very close by for meals and drinks and occasional Cretan music evenings. The local taverna is easy walking distance with good food and sea views and it’s just a stone's throw to the main Chania - Rethymnon highway and public transport. It's 15 minutes' walk to local beach or 3/4 mile to the Blue Beach near the small town of Kalives.

The bedrooms have both double glazing and air conditioning.
