Let’s Take a Look at…Katerina’s Penthouse!

In our blog, we’ve told you a lot about why Crete is such a spectacular destination for your holiday, however we haven’t told you much about our properties, and as you’re probably aware, your accommodation is a huge part of whether your holiday is enjoyable or not!
Lucky for you, we have an outstanding collection of villas in Crete; some by the sea, some with pools and even some off the beaten track in the hills! So, we’ve decided to share a little bit about some of our properties, starting with Katerina’s Penthouse, a stunning coastal villa.
Katerina’s Penthouse
This beautiful traditional villa is situated in a tranquil, secluded location with truly outstanding views over the sublime Souda Bay. Katerina’s Penthouse sleeps between 2-4 people, so is perfect for couples who are seeking a romantic getaway, or a small family with older children seeking a peaceful holiday. The property itself features a large penthouse; it has two floors with majestic balconies which provide guests with sensational sea views. There are two apartments below; one is also rented by us, the other is reserved for the owners of the property.
If you seek to immerse yourself in traditional Cretan culture, this is the perfect property for you as it features a traditional Cretan archway and fireplace. Complete with a large dining area, living area and a kitchen (with all the modern utensils and appliances that you need) you can be certain that you’ll feel at home here whether you visit in the summer, autumn or winter – as there is central heating for those cooler evenings! There are 2 bedrooms; one double and one twin room and a beautifully designed bathroom. For those fishing enthusiasts there is a small jetty that you can take full advantage of!

Kalami Beach
Kalami beach is only a short walk away, so is the perfect destination for those who love to swim or lounge in the morning sunshine. This Blue Flag beach is popular during summertime, especially with the locals, however during the low-season, it can often feel like your own private beach, which is certainly luxurious. You could also try a bit of local cuisine at the local restaurant.
Kalives
Kalives, a small Cretan town, is only 2 miles away and is full of local shops and amenities – it is certainly worth exploring! The harbour is perfect for visiting, especially if you fancy a calm and relaxing evening walk. Here you can find an array of tavernas and bars; there is certainly a lot to explore – not to mention the surrounding landscape, which is incredibly pretty throughout the year.
Katerina’s Penthouse is attractive, beautiful and tranquil; it is for those who desire a relaxing holiday. Many of our guests return to this property again and again – some are even on their fifth visit to the property!
