For those who want a traditional property set amongst other traditional Cretan dwellings and within easy reach by car of a sandy beach, Nikos,  is a natural choice. This romantic little Cretan house is set in a countryside hamlet a mile and a half from Stilos village. 

On the outskirts of Stilos, surrounded by nearby small holdings where you may well encounter donkeys and goats, Nikos has a sunny terrace with sun beds and a little shade from a tree, making an idyllic setting for alfresco meals and to watch village life pass you by.

The terrace leads to the house with its two distinctive blue front doors.

Just three miles from the sandy beaches at Kalives the road winds upwards to Stilos, a village famous for its natural springs with an attractive choice of food and music served in its five local tavernas. 

A choice of tavernas and the local store is one and half miles away (car reccommended) and just three miles to Kalives beach (below).
