For those who value contemplation off the beaten track and the oppurtunity to explore Cretan countryside, Vangelis' House offers the oppurtunity to relax in a beautiful stonebuilt house up above the village of Stilos. Set alone with fabulous views which reach as far as the sea and up to the mountains, the house  gives a feeling of expansive space that words can not easily capture 

Enter through the front door to the living room with open fireplace, sofabed and traditional Cretan archway. The fully fitted kitchen is on your right and behind that the bathroom with bath. Up the wooden staircase to the double bedroom, smaller room with single beds, and upstairs bathroom with shower. Air-conditioning thoughout the house which, also has a washing machine. Broadband internet has been provided for clients. Outside is a large terrace and garden.

The property is reached by a track from the village of Stilos, 1 mile from the village tavernas and shop. The beaches at Kalives (below) are just a short drive away.

Visitors should be aware that across the valley from Vangelis is a Cretan Taverna where Greek weddings are sometimes celebrated on a Friday or Saturday. This may mean the sound of Cretan music and even gunfire into the night!

Sleeps 2 or 3 adults or 2 adults and up to 2 children, though please note the low terrace wall with drop renders the accommodation unsuitable for young children and care should be taken.
