Rethymno has a ruggish charm that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. The old quarter is where most people head, with stunning traditional Venetian architecture and a gorgeous waterfront. The waterfront is full of bars and taverns – perfect for couples to sit and watch the world go by.
You can head to any part of Crete and spend hours walking around the delightful villages. Each has its own selection of cosy pubs and delicious restaurants – you’ll be spoilt for choice.
For the Explorer
Travelling to Crete with friends or as a solo traveller and looking for adventure? There are plenty of places to explore within the island – especially for those want to delve into the rich history.
We suggest taking a trip to the south west of the island to tackle the Samaria Gorge. This is a 16 km walk that is considered to be one of the most challenging on the island. If you prefer something a little less exhausting, there are plenty of museums on the island to explore. Our favourite is the Heraklion Archaeological Museum which houses an extensive collection of Minoan art.
When it comes to villas in Crete, we offer high quality accommodation that can’t be matched. Our villas are located in some of the most beautiful parts of Crete – perfect for getting out and enjoying the island.
