The beach is relatively isolated, being accessible solely by foot or by boat and lies on the shore of a small lagoon. The area is in many respects reminiscent of an island paradise and is even surrounded by palm trees as well as a variety of other vegetation.

The White Mountains

The White Mountains, are a major mountain range in the west of Crete dominating the local landscape, and are so called due to the fact that they are often covered by snow until the late spring. Whilst experienced hikers may wish to take on the challenge presented by a walk in these mountains, a drive though the regions is also a breathtaking experience and a great way to enjoy all the amazing sights on offer.
