Venetian Harbour of Chania
The short drive to Chania will take you to its history-filled harbour, sporting the city’s trademark lighthouse. Built between 1320 and 1356, the harbour was used for commerce and to control the Sea of Crete against pirates. In modern times, it offers moorage for fishing boats, and you can enjoy a romantic and relaxing stroll under the glimmer of the lighthouse.
Botanical Garden in Chania
These gardens are perfect for kids to explore a wide variety of plants over an area of 20 hectares. Filled with fruit trees from all over the world, unique ornamental plants, and medicinal herbs. Its microclimate makes an idyllic paradise that homes many animals from the local area.
